The flange standards API 6A and ASME/ANSI B16.5 have the same dimensions – but the API 6A flanges are rated for higher pressures as indicated below:

API 5L X Flanges
We supply flanges in API 5L X52, X56, X60, X65 and X70 as follows:
1/2″ to 24″ in 150lbs, 300lbs and 600lbs
1/2″ to 8″ in 1500lbs

A Integral Flange is used for high pressure situations, integral hub weld neck flanges are used and for very high pressure cases Long Welding Neck flanges are preferred. In this case, the weld are far from the ring to avoid bending stresses and weld stress being combined.

api flange type 6b Manufacturers
6BX and 6B Flanges (welding neck flanges, blind flanges, target flanges and test flanges) are fully conformed to API 6A and made of modern alloy steel via advanced manufacturing techniques. They are robust and high cost performance.
6B flanges are of the ring joint type and are not designed for face-to-face make-up. The connection make-up bolting force reacts on the metallic ring gasket
